This range of controllers is designed to work with the Progeny range of card readers and keyboards. This arrangement allows the control electronics to be mounted on the secure side of the door thus preventing tampering with the system wiring. 
The card reader inputs can be used with a wide range of card reading technology (magnetic stripe, proximity, barcode, weigand) including biometric giving a biometric door lock. 
The charger power supply is link selectable for 12V or 24V operation and there is space within the enclosure for two 12V, 7Ahr sealed lead acid batteries. These units may interlock with other controllers or with the interlock power supplies (2089 series).
